When we needed to make new arrangements for the tax return, financial statements, and audit of the Self Managed Superannuation Fund my daughter and I have operated since July 2002, I prepared a list of accountants from advertisements in the Bendigo Weekly. Instead of telephone contact, I decided to call in person for face-to-face contact. I approached Allan Accounting first, solely and simply because Strath Hill Centre provided easy access and parking! Fortunately I called at a time when you had a few minutes between clients.
All my impressions were positive. You readily understood the way our SMSF has operated and quickly appraised the documentation we provided. I liked the arrangement by which Allan Accounting would itself prepare the tax return, financial statements, and members' contribution, and make arrangements for an independant audit to be undertaken. After you had spent a few minutes looking through our records and discussing how our SMSF operates, we were readily able to agree upon a fixed price for the above work. I left all documentation with you on 6 December 2007, and was most impressed to receive by post today (19 December 2007) the completed tax return, financial statements, members' contribution, and audit report. All work was completed not only so promptly, but to high professional standards.
